Pastel en Airfryer
Crispy Brazilian pastel made healthy in the air fryer — no deep frying needed! Golden, flaky pastry filled with seasoned ground beef and cheese. A beloved Brazilian street food.
- 12 pastel wrappers (egg roll wrappers work too)
- 1/2 lb ground beef seasoned
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg for sealing
- Cooking spray
- Salt, pepper, garlic, onion for seasoning
- Cook ground beef with onion, garlic, salt and pepper until browned.
- Place a spoonful of beef and cheese on each wrapper.
- Brush edges with beaten egg.
- Fold and press edges with a fork to seal tightly.
- Spray both sides lightly with cooking spray.
- Place in air fryer in single layer (don't stack).
- Cook at 390°F for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve with hot sauce or lime.
