Suflé de Queso en Airfryer
Light, airy cheese soufflé that actually works in the air fryer. Rises beautifully with a golden top and creamy center. Impressive yet achievable.
- 3 eggs separated
- 1 cup gruyère cheese grated
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Salt and pepper
- Make roux: melt butter, add flour, stir 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, stir until thick.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheese until melted.
- Beat egg yolks into cheese sauce.
- Whip egg whites to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold whites into cheese mixture in 3 additions.
- Pour into buttered ramekins (3/4 full).
- Cook at 350°F for 18-20 minutes. DO NOT OPEN during cooking!
