Ilha Grega na Airfryer
A twist on the classic French floating island — meringue clouds over creamy custard, reinvented for the air fryer. Elegant and surprisingly simple.
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of cream of tartar
- Custard sauce: 4 egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups milk, vanilla
- Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks.
- Gradually add sugar, beat to stiff glossy peaks.
- Add vanilla, fold gently.
- Scoop meringue mounds onto parchment in air fryer.
- Cook at 300°F for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Make custard: whisk yolks and sugar, heat with milk until thick.
- Float meringue islands on custard sauce.
